Omlet cube and run

I have never seen my girls in bed before as DH usually sorts them out and I'm often in bed long before them

 

However tonight DH is away and so I had the pleasure. However I was to find two asleep in the nest box and the third almost on top of them on top of the cube nest hole. Is this ok and something to about or something I should discourage?? If so how

I just push mine out of the nest box onto the roosting bars as it starts to get dark and then they seem to stay out. You could put something like a football in the nest box overnight but it would need to be taken out first thing in the morning.

Mine would sleep in the nest box given the chance. I block the hole up at night with a bucket with the top cut off. If they sleep in there it defeats the object of having poo trays. Sometimes I forget and have to pick them up and poke them through the hole! They are not impressed.

Ohhh bless x After turfing ours out of the nestbox a couple of times, they all roost happily on the bars now
