salbo
Hello again Everyone, I have bought the paddling pool from Argos for my ducks that we are getting at the weekend, but I'm not sure how to put it in the garden! sink it or leave it on top of the ground? also what is the best thing to put around it? gravel, rocks etc? and what should i use to help them get out of it or in it if it is left raised? PLEASE any advice would be a real help, especially photos of your own pools would be a real help, must get it done by Saturday! Many Thanx
miller30
Hi i have sunk them into the ground before and they didnt need anything to help them get out they just propell themselves out with their wings ive also just stood them on the ground and just put a couple of breeze blocks one eachside so they use them as a step to get in if your ducks are not fully grown just stick a brick inside the pool so they can get out leanne. gladys duck
hi, we had a little green paddling pool that we just had on our patio. The 3 girls managed no problem, but we got the drake when he was a year and not used to split levels and he was frustraited that he could not get in the water with the girls! since we got a small pond he is having a whale of a time and to of the girls are broody! jayjay
I have a cement mixing bath like thingy in the WIR. We haven't sunk it into the ground but had tastefully placed some logs around it for them to get in and out. They like the logs just for sitting on and getting a better view. I have a brick in the pond to allow them to get out easily. We have actually drilled the pond and fitted a valve to allow the water to run out - it's a great time saver if you have somewhere close by to allow the water to run to.
