well my babies are growing fast and with a total of 13 are filling the pond,

i have several people who would like to rehome some of them is there a good age for them to go. the reason i ask is that Daisy the mum is still very protective of them attacking me when i pick one up, and the little ones go into a panic if mum goes out of sight.

not looking forward to them going but need to be practical

I'm not an expert but from the behaviour I have studied is that ducks have their young around a lot longer than hens. Thus they are more protective over them.

 

Once the ones that are leaving are gone and if you are keeping any of them she will settle down.

They can leave mum when they are fully feathered but not before this.
