Hello,

 

I am new to chickens, and have had Gladys and Gerty for 5 weeks now. Both of them seem happy, eating well etc., but for some reason I have not had any eggs from Gladys (gingernut ranger)for two days. She layed from day one and has always been very friendly and seems very happy. However, she has not layed for the last two days, why would this be?

They do take a break from laying

 

although ours stopped laying went we had a rat in the allotment that must of been stressing them out

I'd give them a **Basic Health Check** to rule out anything obvious, and worm them with Flubenvet if you haven't done so already.

 

I'd also cut out any treats they may be having an d only allow free ranging later in the day, so that they eat up their pellets.
