Hi,

 

Can I keep quails in with hens?

 

I have a 15 x 9 x 8 hen house with an eglu cube inside for 6 chickens. I also have a spare eglu cube and would like advice on:

 

a: Can I mix quails and hens?

b: Can I convert the smare cube for quails to use?

as I understand it, you can have the quail inside your WIR, but they will need to be in an inner run or else they will be bullied by the chooks.

eglu and run is fine, although picking out the eggs requires houdini-like skills and/or a litter picker!

you cant freerange quail, they are gamebirds and will just fly away.
