lotz2612
Well...1st attempt - disasterous (non hatched). Attempt 2 - successful, 3 out of 4 hatched. Attempt 3, Mum set off about 21 eggs in incy on 1st Aug...so they are day 9 at the moment. My 3 little hatchlets that appeared about 3 weeks ago are doing great...MJ, Goldie and Peewee are in their brooding run (still inside the house but not in incy anymore). Not sure when I will put them outside yet...they still huddle under the 'hotplate' everytime i go check on them, but that might be to get away from big ugly giant who keeps starring at them! Any advice on when it would be ok to let them outside? I'm realy worried they'll get cold out in the run on their own without a heat source. jam
I took the heat away at night at about 5 weeeks old and put them outside on sunny days. I put them outside permenantly at about 6 weeks. They should be ok so long as they have shelter from the wind and rain. Hope this hatch goes well
