whatlarks
I am hoping that someone in the Devon area may be able to help me. My husband was stung by one of our bees yesterday and has been in hospital on a drip since and nearly lost his finger!!! I am desperate to get his lovely bees rehomed before he comes home. We began with a nuc colony in April and they are doing well. I would like them to go to a new home where they are wanted as opposed to my only offer so far from a rather grudging source. Any help or advice would be wonderful. Thank you.
Daphne
Gosh - sorry to hear about your husband, I hope he recovers fully. Regarding your bees, unless somebody on here pops up willing to help out,I'd get in touch with your local British Bee Keepers Assocation (BBKA if you google) Division and I'm sure they'd be able to help. Old Speckled Hen
I'm sorry I'm too far away. Why don't you try http://www.beekeepingforum.co.uk/index.php? It's a great site. Some of the old codgers can be a bit sharp if you ask "daft questions" but I have learned masses there from a great community whose members go out of the way to help each other. There have been many posts on bee sting reactions and anaphylaxis so most members will understand your plight. Really, give it a go. best of luck and I hope OH is OK

v8landy
Hope he gets well soon. I am sure some will very hallpy help you out. Is this the first time he has been stung? Not wanting to loose his hobby, there are ways round this issue if he dose wish to keep bees.
whatlarks
No he has been stung once before but the reaction this time was very severe. His hand swelled up so much that he lost the blood supply to his fingers.
