swhite99
We've had our Miss Pepperpot and Gingernut Ranger for a fortnight now and are really pleased with them. They both laid on their second day with us but the Gingernut Ranger hasn't laid since that first egg. She had a bit of a snotty beak for the first few days and we thought she might start laying again once she was over that but she didn't and this morning she has a snotty beak again! Not sure whether to take her to the vet or just try something like Respite. Also not sure if she hasn't laid again because she is poorly or if it's just down to her being at point of lay? Once they start, do they normally carry on or can laying be so sporadic to start with? Any help/advice would be welcomed!
Egluntyne
Laying can be sporadic to start with. However, as she has a recurrent snotty nose, I'd treat it, or have the vet look at her.
swhite99
Thanks. Can you recommend a good treatment? Is Respite ok?
Egluntyne
It is. Or Citricidal is useful too.
