Further advice on introductions

Recommended Posts

I am now in week 4 of slowly introducing two POL hens to my existing two. For the past few days they have been sleeping together but I have been separating them during the day while I am at work, but allowing them to FR together when I am home. Today I took the plunge and kept them together in the run all day.

There does still appear to be frequent pecks to the back of the neck, however it is more of a nip rather than doing real damage. There have been no loss of feathers.

Now my question is should I separate them during the day until all pecking stops or should I just let them get on with it? I still got an egg off each today so they don’t appear to be too traumatised by it.
