chookmumtobe
Hi everyone, Still eagerly anticipating getting our chooks at the beginning of September, and getting everything ready for their arrival. I have searched the forum and can see that Easibed or aubiose is the way to go for a good floor covering. I have an Eglu classic with standard run. We are positioning the eglu so that we can see it from the house so am pondering how to put a cover on the run and still be able to see in? - how far down does the cover need to go? and how can I stopthe easibed escaping? we are looking to put some sort of border edging around the botton of the run but nothing too intrusive to our viewing!!! any advise welcome, thanks. Pharaoh
I have an Eglu with 3m run and have used a 3x2 metre glass clear tarpaulin from http://www.tarpaflex.co.uk. I have a fold on the top so that there is a gap all round for ventilation. It is on grass so no need for Easibed yet.
chookmumtobe
Thank you Pharoah, I went on the website and ordered one! - it looks good. Where did you get your bungees from to secure it?
Pharaoh
I ordered some from Tarpaflex, the bobble ones. I was not sure how they work but one end is in eyelet and you then loop the bungee round run and back on to bobble at top. However, I have not needed to use them as with this weather the tarpaulin is permanently soaked and heavy. Perhaps an ordinary bungee or 2 might be adequate in windy weather. I fold it back if we happen to get some sunshine!!
