kids-cats-chicks Posted August 12, 2010 Share Posted August 12, 2010 one of my 2 and half yr old chickens Summer hasn't laid an egg for months now,but she does go in nest and sits there trying to lay, but today went up and found she has a soft egg shell hanging out her bottom,have tried to have a look but don;'t want to pull it out in case it does her more damage _ do i leave it to come out by itself or do i try and help her , the inside of the egg was at the bottom of the bars in eglu , she is fine in her self apart from had a moult and now growing new feathers, i lost one of my other chickens 3 weeks ago (little daisy) so i am more worried/panicky than usual. hope someone can give me some advise.
