Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

New to all this and have raised 4 from hatchlings. So far so good they are about 6 weeks old. At night by about 8.30 they are huddled up under the coop but won't go in on their own. I therefore close up the pop hole and plonk them into the nest box.

Perhaps a daft question but do they sort themselves out as they get older. I thought I had read somewhere that they 'go to bed' when it gets dark and you just have to close up for the night.

I'm sure they will get the hang of it eventually.

 

I got my chicks at 5.5 weeks and they fortunately put themselves to bed. Like you say - I just have to shut them in.
