simon and his cat
Hi At last we have our hens - Carmen and Isabel (Araucanas) and Fifi and Françoise (Marans) - can already see the different personalities. Has taken them a day or so to settle in but all are now happily drinking and eating from the Grub and Glug - the people we got them from just threw in food onto the ground so they were a bit confused to start with when they looked around for food on the ground. Also had a slight shock when arriving home and taking them up to the cube/run for the first time, I disturbed a fox in the garden - our guard cats are useless Will definitely have to be careful when we let them freerange. Just noticed that Fifi's lower beak is slightly longer than her upper beak - is this ok? It doesn't seem to bother her (or stop her dominating the others). Grateful for any views. Egluntyne
Congratulations. The beak thingy is quite common and noting to worry about. So long as she can eat and drink she'll be fine.
