Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Please can you fill in the following questionnaire for me? And if possible get a few of your other fellow beekeepers to do so too.

 

This questionnaire is going to act as Anecdotal evidence for my piece of research/investigation I am doing for my Extended Project Qualification for college (A 3000-5000 word essay on a subject of your choice), so it would be helpful if you could give me your surname and first inital so I can quote you properly.

 

Here it is anyway:

 

How long have you kept bees for?

 

How many colonies do you currently have and have had in the past?

 

Over the past few years have you suffered any losses of colonies or have your bee numbers decreased? (If so, please give details).

 

Are your bees healthy/show any signs of disease? (Please give details).

 

Do any of your hives have varroa and how do you treat this?

 

What do you think, globally, in terms of bee health and numbers is happening?

 

What do you believe is the main factor that will affect bee health and numbers now and into the future?
