For anyone near Waitrose in MK they are currently selling 3 large sweetcorns (with the husk on) for £1.

Purchased 3 yesterday - the first has just gone up in the run, but the girls are free ranging at the minute, and have my freshly dug courgette bed to explore..

Just thought I would let everyone know, as you know that chooks LURVE sweetcorn.

Um, really stupid question - do you cook them before giving them to the chooks?

I don't cook them. I have read on here some do, but I get the feeling most don't. There is a pretty current thread called something like how do you serve them.

Mum got them from morrisons

What I just do is go to the clearance counter and give the salad stuff from there to them it is much cheaper and I have a mini fridge in my room so put it in there or put it in the freezer to last longer
