jellykelly
I have two chicks in the brooder, age 5 days and 8 days. Today one of them has made a bizarre noise on a few occassions. It's not a cheep and it's not a crow - it actually sounds like one of the ribena berries (from the old advert) that goes "woo woo wooooo". Surely they can't start practising their vocals at this young age?
Redwing
They are probably practicing their vocals but probably not starting to crow They normally start to crow as they hit maturity In saying that I did have a chick that did squeeky but definite crows from two weeks old but have not had another that has done this
