helen1962 Posted September 6, 2010 Share Posted September 6, 2010 I have raised my own hens from week old chicks. One is a Black Rock and the other a Light Sussex (not very light she is huge!) Anyway they are laying their own eggs now and have been doing since the beginning of August. However the eggs although perfextly formed with good shells, are tiny. These hens are not Bantams, quite the contrary as they both tower above Ruby my only remaining ex-batt yet her eggs are massive.
