2009 Omlet cube and run for sale

WIR just need the finishing touches now, but I have changed my mind and gone for the classic.

 

Omlet were great, as my order is due to arrive on Thursday, and were really polite and positive about such a down sized order, though I have bought the netting as well.

 

So no cube for me but a purple classic. Feel happy.

 

My order of 5 chickens was: 1 warren, 1 red ranger, 1 nera, 1 sussex hybrid, and 1 blue haze.

 

I have 'cancelled' the blue haze as it is a larger bird. So are 4 birds perfect, or could 5 fit (having seen the amazing photos of girls all cramming into one) if the extra 1 was a ranger or a warren? Worried about the girls crossing their legs for the nest box My WIR is 12 x 6.

 

Promise to only come back with photos of run and girls come the weekend

I have heard that 5 medium sized birds can sleep in a Classic OK and you have a WIR, so I guess run space is not an issue. I don't know about the nest box though. My 3 are sometimes pushing and shoving to get into the 1 they share. You could make another nest box by using a cat basket or box perhaps.

When our 4 ex batts where in the Eglu we would have 1 sleeping in the nest and then another one would be right behind her, so kind of half in and half out of the nest. The other 2 would be snuggled up next to them and there was still room for more.
