Roobaloo
My four chicks have been living outside for a little while now...in a wooden 'all in one' hen house & fixed run type thing. Despite the fact that they run up and down the ramp all day, they're always huddled in a corner of the run come night fall and I have to crawl inside and post them up into the house. I assumed that after the first few times, they'd get the hang of this themselves...apparently not. Am I just leaving it too late at night to move them and their sleepy little minds aren't taking it in? How can I encourage them to put themselves to bed? Thanks! Redwing
A torch left in the house when it gets dark will encourage them towards it
Roobaloo
Fab! I'll try that!! I couldn't believe them tonight....at 7pm, they were all sat at the top of the ramp - brilliant!! and 7:30pm, they're snuggled together underneath it!!
