TESSANN
Hi there I have a Viburnum tinus Laurustinus plant and I was wondering if it was harmful for the chickens? Rosemary x
Olly
I don't know if it's harmful, I have one and mine have never shown any interest in eating it! Is it fairly well-established - if it's young and tender they might be tempted, but they have not bothered with my scruffy old specimen. Generally, they are quite smart about avoiding things they are not supposed to eat. I've yet to hear of anyone reporting mass chicken illness after letting them free-range, and we all have a variety of things in the garden. I KNOW that rhubarb is not good for them, but they managed to ravage my plant and showed no ill effects.
