BHC
"Little" has been moulting, and I think her egg production is just kick starting again (at least that's what I'm hoping), as this morning there was the most awful looking egg in the Nesting Box. It had a yellow, calcified crust over half of it, and black and red marking on the shell itself. I did take a photo, but don't know how to upload it here! I was brave, took it outside and cracked it open. A very stale egg (not smelly) but yolk disintegrated almost immediately. It would seem she has since laid a softy too. Is all this normal when they have not been laying for a while?
