freddie
Anyone know about this mag? Is it any good, and who reads it? Thanks
Janepie33
Never heard of it I'm afraid but just looked it up on the www. Looks quite interesting, a family magazine with a free gift!
bigmommasally
I have a vague memory from the mid eighties of someone coming round door to door collecting a subscription each month for a charity magazine and monthly draw. I really can't remember anymore than that, sorry.
Daphne
I was going to say its a magazine from a cancer charity, but I've just done some webtrawling and I see from a comparison website (not Candis themselves) its a magazine from a commercial publisher which gives 10% of subscription to charities. Its a mix of family stuff, recipes and quite a lot on health. It also has special offers on holidays, insurance, car parking at airports etc and a prize draw. Daphne
yes....thats where I looked. I have to say I enjoy the mag, its very low key and quite old fashioned, which I find strangely comforting! It does make me think, reading stories of people who have lost family members to cancer but still managed to battle on and do good for others. However, I am less pleased about the donation aspect (I thought all/most of the money went to charity), so we need to find out more and may revisit our subscription.
