beach chick
we have a field. quite a big field, which I have to mow (on a ride-on mower, but still....). I would quite like some more animals - ideally to eat the grass - but I've kind of given up on alpacas and llamas on account of cost and fence height needed. sheep seem to get ill at the drop of a hat. I'm not interested in the mobile lawnmowers being productive, or breeding etc - just pets. would pygmy goats be any good? what are their pros and cons? I guess they need housing and electric fencing and food, but anything else to consider?
Rhapsody
I have 5 pygmy goats- they are a complete riot but goats are browsers, not grazers. They only eat long tough grass and weeds, if you need the grass eaten sheep would be better..
