Fablabmum43 Posted November 7, 2010 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I noticed that my little bantam chick (11 weeks) was limping. I checked her feet which are fine. Checking her legs through all the feathers was an altogether more difficult matter , but further inspection did reveal a swelling just below the joint. The swelling is not discoloured in any way. The poor chick cannot bear any weight on the affected leg, but is eating and drinking well and seems otherwise content. I have brought her into the garage so she can rest, but wonder if anyone has any suggestions as to how to proceed. Thanks! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Egluntyne Posted November 7, 2010 Share Posted November 7, 2010 I'd keep her off it in a cage and take her to a vet as soon as you can get an appointment.
