katek
I have had my three lovely ex-bats for three weeks now. I am shocked by the amount of poo the produce. I am sticking it all on the compost but can you have too much mixed in with weeks and peelings? My mum seems to think that it may cause a problem but I wonder if anyone has any expert advice. Lavenders_Blue
I hope there's no such thing as adding too much as all mine goes on the compost too! What I have noticed is that it all seems to rot down more quickly. Often when I have added lots of peelings and garden cuttings the compost bin gets very full, but with a good helping of chicken poo the level magically drops
Olly
I don't think you can have too much! Mine is mixed with grass clippings and kitchen waste in the summer, but in winter it tends to be just poo with a bit of aubiose - it breaks down very easily. You could always put a bit of shredded paper in with it or something like that if you feel it needs a bit of diluting.
