KateCooke Posted November 12, 2010 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Yippeeeee!!!! This message is to all those who like me have been waiting for the first egg. This morning at 7am i found my first egg(41g), then at 10am i found my second(43g)!!! I bought my 4 bantams 3 months ago and was told they were at POL, since then i have been waiting and waiting and researching and loads of people told me not to expect anything til spring. But last week my red hampshire started acting odd and then my welsummer crouched for me the other day. Not sure which egg was who's but i know that i got one from each of them this morning. Not sure if it was coincedence but yesterday i put a fake egg in the eglu, i like to think this encouraged them to start. My friend is 10 days overdue having her baby, i have suggested she do the same and go to bed tonight with a doll between her legs, hope for her sake it works. And yes, the first egg tastes better than anything before it. Even though it was tiny i had it soft boiled with soliders, yummy! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
