Strange Bobbly Comb

Recommended Posts

I have a Wyandotte with a very strange looking comb. Its only about 0.5cm in heigh and really bobbly, flat and mishapen. She is now about 30+ weeks and is yet to lay an egg. Everyone always says look for a red healthy comb as a sign thy're ready for laying but looking at my Lotti I'm starting to doubt she every will! Do you think her comb will ever change now at this age or is she always going to look a bit odd? In all other ways she's great, full as energy, fat as butter and beautiful coat. Any suggestions?

Wyandottes have a blobby k"Ooops, word censored!"bly little comb - perfectly normal. I am also waiting for my late spring hatch wyandotte hen to produce her first egg. It maybe in the new year as the days get longer, however my girls who are a year older started laying last November and December - so there maybe hope!
