Dizzy-Deb
Hi I have been putting the shells in the compost bin.. but someone mentioned to my husband the other day who also keeps chickens.. that they dry theirs out, pummel them down and feed back to their chookies. Any tips of how to do this and is it ok to do ? Thanks xx
Steve the Gas
Yes it is quite ok, bake for 10 mins to dry out and kill any nasties. Don't do it much longer 'cos it will stink!! Crush 'em all up and scatter or put into feed.

Lewis
We wash them and microwave for less than a min and feed them back - doesn't smell as bad Make sure you wash them though otherwise the egg cooks, pops and stinks, goes all rubbery
