Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

My gang have always preferred to perch outside rather than go into the eglu to sleep. We have a secure walk in run.

 

I am a bit worried about this habit in the cold weather, however. There are 5 of them and my previous 5 used to love cramming into the eglu in the cold to keep warm together. Not so my new group. I have just tried to put them all in together but they have resolutely come straight out again and perched as before.

 

 

Am I going to find the frozen to their perches in the morning or am I being over-protective?

maybe just a little over-protective?! I reckon if they are shut in their WIR they are safe from predators, and if they are too cold they will move indoors - or just snuggle up a bit closer on their perches - they are wearing duvets after all
