madchickenlady
I have the opportunity to take on two silkie serama pullets I have only seen pics at this stage, so thought I'd ask if anyone has any. These birds are A/B class, so quite diddy. My flock currently consists of 8 feisty pekins, so the newbies will reside in their own quarters at least initially if not permanently. Can anyone tell me about the breed? Are they friendly like pekins? Destructive in the garden (like pekins )? How much babying do they require (heat etc in the minus temps)? And if you ahve a serama cockerel, how loud is he in comparison to a pekin lady in full egg song? Any info/experience gratefully recieved
Patricia W
We had a thread about Serama's going last week- have a look - or maybe someone with better skills than me can signpost you to it.
