chickenopolis Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Flo has been laying a few softies lately - but then at the weekend she laid what I think was a lash Have had no eggs for what seems like several weeks, so I thought that her laying days were over, so she could settle down to a nice retirement without any of this laying eggs business. This morning she has been up and down the stairs to the cube - in the nestbox, out the nestbox, just a bit all over the place really. So I thought perhaps she has a stuck egg. Vent looks nice and clean and nothing sticking out. So, I thought in case she needs a bit of help, I would give her some bread soaked in olive oil to see if I can "grease her from the inside" so to speak. Is that what you would do.???? She did eat some bread, but not that keen, and has gone back onto the nest box chattering away to Gloria who is sitting opposite her having a chat.
