Graham0602
One of my chickens doesn't look right. Moving head around. I can only describe it as looking like wants to swallow and the food or whatever won't go down. Lethargic, not seen her eat, not interested when I just took out a small treat of corn. She quite happily went FR yesterday, but didn't particularly see how much she ate or not Don't think she's laying. Any ideas ??? Others seem healthy and happy. Graham0602
I meant to add, she's not very old. Had her about 6 months, was about 18 weeks old when we bought her and her chums. So that makes her about 10 months old by my reckoning
JS1
Could she be brewing a soft egg? That can make them feel miserable and hunched up until it works its way through. Otherwise, have you wormed them recently with Flubenvet?
Egluntyne
Does her crop feel hard and full?
Graham0602
yes, wormed them only last week ...... she been doing the neck thing since end of last week, only seem to have added lethargic and not eating to that today
Chucky Mama
What did you worm them with and when did she last lay?
Graham0602
Wormed them with Flubenvet. Not sure when she last layed. Have never worked out which of the three have layed when there are less than 3 eggs. Have only had one or two eggs for last few days when I would normally be expecting two or three - am assuming that it's the poorly, lethargic one that isn;'t laying. Only just home and it's dark now. Not had chance to feel the crop , but it is looking large / full. Will have a feel in the morning ......... Thanks for all the replies so far Graham
