welshchwcks
I've only had Jemima and Dotty for one week nearly now but yesterday I was out in the garden and Jemima (buff orpington) kept coming up to me and clucking like mad. She looked like she was lokking up whilst clucking and crouching to the floor...she didn't look in pain. She did this for about half an hour! Dotty found a new hiding place under the hen house...so I'm wondering if this is a sign one of them is going to produce a yummy egg soon? What do you think, or am I looking into it too much ha ha....just desperate to get and egg, it's like waiting for the news a baby's been born ha ha!! Ain't Nobody Here
Crouching is definitely a sign . (She thinks you're a cockeral .) Are their combs getting bigger and redder too?
