Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

Hi - I have been worried about a new hen delivered 2 days ago from Omlet. Her posture was a little head retracted and she occasionally yawned (no breathing problems). I was worried about crop impaction/gapeworm but maybe I have panicked a little early - how empty should their crops be in the morning because I have just felt it now and it's easily four times as big as it was this morning (it was the size of a golf ball this morning now nearly a tennis ball). So if it is back to golf ball tomorrow is that normal? Or should it be completely empty? She is eating/drinking/pooing but does have a slight drooping neck posture. I an worming here as a precaution as well but she actually laid today 2 days after I got her! Am I worrying unnecessarily?

Why dont you ring Omlet in the morning as I am sure they have their chickens welfare top of the list and will be able to advise you accordingly etc.

 

I got 2 and the guy who delivered the thoroughly checked them over and told me some good husbandry tips as well.

 

Perhaps someone will be able to advise better on the health part of the forum?
