Guest
My lovely little chickies are due to hatch around 21st March I've just got some questions on what and when to start feeding other things. What I know so far; Starter crumbs can be fed from day 1 to approx 5-6wks then gradually change over to growers. Questions; At what age do I start adding apple cider vinegar to the water? At what age do I offer grit? At what age do I start adding Bokashi? At what age do I start adding Garlic? At what age do I start giving them Diatomaceous Earth as a wormer? Many thanks in advance. Redwing
Keep things simple for the first 12 weeks or so offer chick grit (or budgie grit) when you add anything other than crumb or pellets to the diet Save the garlic and Bokashi till after 12 weeks - I dont think it would actually do any harm but the simpler the diet the better at a young age ACV could be offered in very dilute amounts early on I'd never give DE as a wormer personally but if you want to then 3 months onwards would be ok
