welshchwcks
I have just read a few posts on here and it mentions their chickens 'pancaking'.....what on earth is this ??? Is it lying flat like a pancake..I have no idea I'm still waiting for eggs. Got my little girls 5 weeks ago and only 1 of them started to crouch this week but no other signs arrggghh! Help me I'm desperate for eggs! x
Redwing
If you are desperate for eggs then you dont want pancaking its where a broody hen flattens itself to the nest to protect the eggs and give you a warning to stay away Crouching is a good sign - eggs not far off when that hapopens, a couple of weeks at the most! Space Chick
The first egg will come when they are ready, as will your first pancake
