Hi

 

We got a welsummer banty hen on Saturday and the other 4 banty hen dont seem to be excepting it and it has just been roosting in the house today. Any tips on how it can be excepted into flock?

Some advice on managing introductions here.

 

I think you need to borrow some separate accommodation for her as:

a) it is never a good idea to introduce a single hen to an established flock.

b) it is always a good idea to have a period of quarantine when introducing new stock, in case the new hens bring illness to the existing hens.

c) slow intros work best in most cases.
