jenuk99
I am trying to find out if buns can eat flowering currant, as I only plant things in the garden that they can munch on. Thanks Jen
LuckyChickenLover-
I couldn't find a mention of it in any of my numerous rabbit books, and there didn't seem to be too much information on the web. I found this, which says that they don't really like it, but there are other websites that say that their flowering currant plant was destroyed by wild rabbits. As we can't find any better information, I'd stay clear if it if I were you. Sorry I can't give you a better answer. My bunnies are due for their myxi jabs in a couple of weeks, so I'll ask the vet then .

Clarabelle
Hi there, My bunny, Rufus, absolutely loves eating flowering currant leaves and he's in tip top health. I only let him have a few at a time, but I read somewhere that they can eat ordinary currant leaves so I assumed flowering currant would be ok too as they are both of the genus Ribes. Just my experience though, not gospel!
