daphne_and_polly Posted April 7, 2011 Share Posted April 7, 2011 we fed our new chickens some spicy takeaway leftovers (not any meat or fish of course, mainly rice) and the next day both had started laying ! I was wondering whether this was a coincidence, or whether spicy food has the same effect on POL hens as it is said to have on expectant mothers.... although they loved the leftovers, I'm not sure I'd recommend it - very smelly chicken poo!
