CatsCube
I have a few questions on these. Im trying to work out a way of breeding bantams. I have another area that looks like Im gaining for chicken use squeeee! However as its all down the side of the house leading up to the garage, is possible that on rare occasions I would need to be able to move any house/run out of the way to get access to the garage. As the omlet WIR has not wooden frame I was wondering how heavy it is, would two people be able to easily detach the eglu and lift the run to move it? Also its very hard to see from the pics but are the sides made up of single sheets or are they joined in the middle? The reason I ask is cause Im wondering if I could split the run into 2 and just pop some weldmesh over the top of the piece that doesn't have the roof, so that I could seperate one hen with her chicks while another broody is in the other half with her chicks? Instead of having loads of runs and houses all over the place.
Gertie
There are pics of the run in a previous post here http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=75507 I don't have one but I do have a cube run. The run is fairly heavy with 4 extensions but I think you could move it with enough people. Possibly the walk in might be similar weight if it's 2x2 (but I'm speculating!)
