sleepymummy
Any ideas? I got 2 Isa Browns a month ago. They both started laying within a week or 10 days. They now haven't laid for 10 days. They look fine, they are eating, they are happy. My is laying everyday. I've had her for a year. Thanks in advance!
Reikiranf
There are numerous reasons for hens not laying, have they been wormed recently? Do they freerange in which case have you checked around the garden to see if they've been laying elsewhere? Perhaps they just fancy a rest There will be lots more advice if you check out the Eggs section of the forum especially the info bit on eggs. Good luck, I hope it's a temporary blip and you aren't joining me in running a retirement home for ladies that are too posh to push
sleepymummy
I hope it is a temp blip. They dont freerange. They have 6'x9' run which is plenty for 3. They were wormed when I got them and I only did Doris about 6 weeks ago so we're not due yet. It's odd that they have both stopped. My friend got some at the same time and hers are fine. Ho hum. Guess I'll just have to wait! I had to buy eggs last week. Imagine that!!
daxigirl
Maybe Doris is putting them off? Mine don't like to share the nest box and sqabble over who's allowed in there. So sometimes don't get any from lowly Moomin if she wants to go whilst Lisa or Paxo are in residence. Just a thought your girls may not have this problem.
