darkwoodali
Help! We seem to have a whole host of rats running riot in the garden. We live in a farm cottage so I know it's basically part of country life but the sheer number of them is a bit disconcerting. I've two small children (1yr and 2 1/2yr) and am pregnant too - in addition to the four chooks! They're having a right feast from the Grub - anyone know of a rat proof feeder? Also, any ideas on how to get rid of them, I guess a local rat catcher would be the most humane and best for the kids/chooks/dog?
C&T
That number and your situation, I would ring the Rat Catcher! Not sure about a rat proof feeder, but make sure you take food in at night. Good Luck!
Mr Rhode Island Red
Set a few traps, snap traps are brilliant but you would want to be sure no chickens or pets or people get caught in them. P.S Peanut butter is a brilliant bait
darkwoodali
Thanks. Hubby just gone to buy traps and we're going to talk to the farmer about getting a man out to sort them out. Dog just came in with a bloody mouth...
