madchickenlady
So, this is Hoppy's foot at 5 days old after I put a 'shoe' on him/her for 2 days. He/she is getting around fine, but obviously the toes are not going to fully straighten. Other than looking odd, will it matter? I have one pekin girl with fused toes and she manages ok

atsw
Gah! Why can't I post photos to this forum?!?! Just get people to click this link to see the picture . I'm sure all will be fine, the chick will simply adapt. Both my Pekins have really long toe nails, which curl round, and they do fine. karlotta
I think all you can do is keep an eye and possibly think again if it starts troubling her. I had to take my salmon faverolle girl in for an operation today to amputate her fifth toe that was curled under her foot. She's a year old now and it had only just started to trouble her.
