The chicks are nearly 7 weeks and doing really well so far - thanks to all your invaluable advice!

Aww so cute! We've been putting them outside in the Eglu/run on warm afternoons this week (they love flying AND dinging the bell on the budgie mirror  ), bringing them into the dog crate in downstairs loo overnight.

We were planning to put them out fulltime this weekend as they've outgrown the dog crate and must be hot indoors with their new duvets on  but we're due the torrential Spanish storms tonight and then it's meant to rain into next week :wall: Our problem is that we have sloping garden with terrible drainage and I wouldn't want them outside in the Eglu/run, getting cold or playing in a river of sludge!!!:shock:

So we think our options are - put them in the garage for a week OR put them in the Eglu/run but cover up with tarps OR put them in Eglu/run INSIDE the WIR (which is dry with an Aubiose floor). The big girls are used to seeing the chicks now and we've not had any noise so far (famous last words! ) but they'd lose some floor space and I'm at work so couldn't oversee any shenanigans :? The chicks would be safe as I've covered the run with 1xhalf inch weldmesh, tie wrapped on.

What would you do? Will you bring yours back inside? Hmm now I've typed it out I think I know (garage) but still interested to know what you'll be doing (am I being too soft?!). Thanks everyone :)

PS excuse for another photo, my favourite one...!
