I can't believe it is coming up to my first years anniversary. My flock has grown from the original 4 (which went back because they got very sick, and I had to disinfect and let the land lie for two months before I could get new ones ), and now I have 11 I got a purple cube, but just didn't get on with it, so went back to my wooden house, and my OH build me a wonderful run butting up to the house. The bottom quarter of the garden belongs to them - hard to think now that there used to be lawn down there! Good thing I am not planning on moving anytime soon I consider myself very lucky with such an understanding OH... He loves them really! I just went to South Africa for 3 weeks, and he became head chicken keeper and secretly he loved it! I even came back to find a HUGE bag of dried mealworms in the shed, to which he sheepishly said: 'It's just a little treat...' Bless him and them!
