esta
Hiya, Haven't posted in a while, but I have a query about my bantam Korma. Recently, as she does every spring time, Korma has been escaping out of the pen area and venturing out into the garden and onto the front lawn. Kevin, our bantam cockeral, goes berserk, but as always, Korma comes back under the fence. However, recently, Korma has been escaping and been away for the whole day, only venturing back now and then, and for the past 2 night she has stayed out and we have been unsuccessful to find her. Yet, every morning she has come back and ran down the garden to the pen and had something to eat, and a real ticking off by Kevin. I'm curious to know peoples opinions on whether you think that Korma has a nest and is hatching babies as we do have a cockeral? Also, if this is so, would we be able to move the eggs and put them and Korma in an arc in the garden to hatch? Thanks, Esta x
Patricia W
Sounds suspiciously like she has a nest. There are hatching experts on here who can answer your question about moving her ( when you find the nest), but I would think it would be the better option anyway so she isn't eaten by a fox- or something nasty.
