Liquid worming

Recommended Posts

Hi, just finishing day 7 on the Flubenvet, but I was wondering if there is a liquid worming product that can be administered by syringe down the throat. I don't know who is more stressed out by the 7day method - me or the chickens? They've been going mad in the run, and not really eating either, so I don't even know whether the process worked properly or not. Surely there must be another product?

The 7 day Flubenvet treatment shouldn't be stressful at all; mine just hunker down and scoff the lot, then I let them out of the run in the afternoon.

Some vets recommend using 10% Panacur suspension** which needs two treatments a week apart and is dosed at 1ml/kg of hen, but this **isn't licensed for use on poultry in the UK and you would need to withdraw eggs from human consumption for 1 week after each treatment.

I'd stick to Flubenvet and save yourself the hassle.
