emmastar
Hi Well been back from work for a few houres and other half just told me the power had gone out for a few houres so i ran to the bator and it had gone to temp and was turning again Candled the 2 eggs that are fertile and both are moving about in the egg like normal , Just wondering if there was going to be a ill efect from the power cut would it be instant or will they be ok ? Incubaor is showing 9 days left and there is a silkie bantom and a random egg in there ,
Redwing
They should be fine. A power cut for a few hours is no problem General info: In case of a power cut never open the incubator, cover it lightly with a blanket if the cut lasts more than a few hours but don't attempt to warm it with anything artificially A spike upwards in temp can kill the eggs in minutes Though as I have just found to my cost and have 40+ eggs that have had to be binned
emmastar
Ty By the time i got home the other half had turned the power back on The temp comes back up quite quick on the bator but the room it is in is quite walm so i shouldnt imagine it went to cold just the turning must have stoped . So now im hoping all is well as i have such a short time to go and super excited about it all .
