My Ancona hatched 5 chicks 4 weeks ago, she's been a great mother until 2 days ago when she started pecking 2 of the chicks on the back and has drawn blood, is this just her way of weaning them off? She is still calling them over for food but has started perching again at night, has anybody else had this happen, I haven't seen this happen before?
