witzend
Just wondering whether storing treats in lidded buckets on a high shelf would be ok in a WIR - or would the chooks smell them/try to get at them?
surfer_chicken
My chooks are certainly very visual, they always recognise a bowl as something potentially full of treats, but if I hide something in my hand they don't know anything's there until I show them, so no sign of sniffing treats out there. They are still clever though, so I would be worried about storing treats in the WIR. If they catch on that the treats come out of the pots, they are sure to try and help themselves
Surfin
I think it would be OK. I store my Garvo mix in a sealed polythene bucket inside my WIR and they pay it no attention whatsoever even after I've opened it to top up their feeders. bostock422
I keep mixed corn in a small plastic container, which originally was meal worm container, in outsider and they dont peck at it.
